Phase 2: Beyond CYFC

All of our programs lead to this point: helping our youth move into their own apartment or college dorm or other stable housing. Into living independently. During their residency, we have provided life skills training, assistance with applications for student aid, and help in getting a job.

The youth have learned about decision making and money management, and have built their self-esteem and personal responsibility. Things do come up as the kids move out, as happens with all kids moving into a place of their own. We provide support and advocacy as they fill out applications and forms, and mentor them through the process. If they need household items or furniture, we ask supporters for help through our social media, and our community rallies. We continue to support them through their case managers after their move.
